In September 2016, NAPOLETANAGAS asked Sa.Gest for a study of 21 islands (pipeline section electrically isolated from protected pipes) distributed in the metropolitan area of NAPLES.

Methane gas distribution networks may be characterized by steel sections which, for different reasons, are not cathodically protected. That is why, after mapping them, we had to work to provide them with cathodic protection. What we had to do was perform all the preliminary investigations and report the results (average conductivity measurements), report all the abnormalities found in the affected sections and then design an efficient cathodic protection system after planning all the required activities.
