Multimedia and Lighting System in the Pertosa-Auletta caves (SA)a light that enhances the work of nature
In this particular national tourist area, Sa.Gest has created lighting scenes with the help of audio tracks and video clips to make the tour of the caves even more evocative
The infrastructure consisted of about 200 dmx-controlled LED rgbw lighting fittings with 12 projectors with IP65 enclosures. An audio system was installed by dividing the cave into 15 zones with independent controls by IP65 casings. The peculiarity of the entire system installed is that it can be configured dynamically during tours or theatre performances.
All audio/video scenes can be managed remotely through the smartphone of the cave guides previously trained. To preserve nature and its beauties, some moisture, temperature, radeon, pressure and wind speed detection sensors have been installed. These data are constantly compared to those from the restricted areas in the cave so as to check for abnormalities. The lamps installed in the Pertosa-Auletta caves were manufactured by Lums srl, one of the Sa.Gest group companies. A type of LED specially designed by OSRAM with more stability and low infrared and ultraviolet emissions was used to safeguard the cave environment by preventing plant growth on the rocky wall.
